22K Gold
22K gold is the standard in which 916 units out of every 1,000 units of alloy are pure gold, which is why it is also called "916 millesimal fineness". In Turkey the vast majority of everyday pieces — bangles, rings, necklaces and earrings — are made in 22K. Its value holds close to fine gold and it is highly liquid on the market, which is why it is the first choice both to wear and to hold as an investment. Every 22K piece in the Paksoy Kuyumculuk showcase carries a fineness hallmark and a laser-etched barcode, and every sale is documented with an official e-archive invoice.
14K Gold
14K gold has an alloy of 585 millesimal fineness — 585 units of pure gold in every 1,000. The lower gold content makes the same design markedly more affordable than 22K, and because the alloy is harder it is often chosen for finely worked diamond rings, white gold bangles and jewelry sets. In this karat the white gold color comes from a nickel or palladium alloy, and the Paksoy collection also carries certified options for customers with sensitive skin.
8K Gold
8K gold is the official standard with the lowest gold content, at 333 millesimal fineness, and in recent years it has spread through the fashion-led pieces that younger buyers favor. Its durability and low price make it very well suited to everyday wear — the new 8K collection we launched alongside our 14K range is one of the first large 8K showcases in Kahramanmaraş. Ideal as a gift or for layering day to day, these pieces may look inexpensive but they carry a gold hallmark and meet a fully legal fineness standard.
Ziynet and Cumhuriyet Gold Coins
Çeyrek (quarter, 1.75 g), yarım (half, 3.50 g) and tam (full, 7.00 g) coins are the most common ziynet coins, all struck to the 22K standard. The Cumhuriyet coin is the classic design struck from 1923 onwards, the Reşat coin is an Ottoman piece from the reign of Sultan Mehmed V Reşad, and the Ata coin is the newer design bearing the portrait of Atatürk. The live table on this page updates the price of fine gold per gram by the second, in step with the Chamber of Jewelers of Kahramanmaraş and the international ounce parity. How is the 22K gold price calculated?
The 22K gram price is found by multiplying the fine gold gram price by the 916 millesimal ratio (fine gram × 0.916). On a certified piece, craftsmanship and margin are added on top of that to reach the final retail price. The current price on Paksoy product pages is calculated automatically from the live gold price, the gram weight of the piece and a fixed commission.
How many grams is a çeyrek gold coin?
The çeyrek (quarter) coin weighs 1.75 grams net, the yarım (half) coin 3.50 grams and the tam (full) coin 7.00 grams, and all of them are struck to the 22K standard (916 millesimal fineness). New-dated coins (Cumhuriyet, Ata) are usually priced slightly above older-dated ones, because the minting cost of the state mint is reflected in the price.
Why do gold prices change in real time?

What is the price difference between 22K and 14K?
For the same gram weight, 22K (916/1000) is roughly 1.57 times more expensive than 14K (585/1000), because its pure gold content is markedly higher. The advantage of 14K is durability and hardness — it is preferred for diamond settings and fine jewelry work, while 22K is the norm for bangles and classic pieces.
Do you issue an invoice for gold bought online?
Yes — every sale at Paksoy Kuyumculuk is legally documented with an e-archive invoice; it is emailed to you once the order is confirmed and can be downloaded again from the My Orders section of your account. The invoice states the product barcode, the fineness hallmark, the gram weight, the sale date and the VAT amount in full; this is a legal obligation for us under KVKK (the Turkish equivalent of the GDPR) and Turkish consumer protection law.
